Festival After Party

One too many rubber chicken dinners under your belt? We hear you. The Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival offers something entirely different: our Festival After-Party features great food and even better company. If you’re looking for one-on-one time with fly fishing headliners over delicious food and great microbrews, this is it. Bring your favorite fly fishing book to be autographed, and take a selfie with your favorite fly fishing personality.

Fly anglers from across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond gather each year at the VFFF After-Party at the end of the festival’s first day to celebrate all things fly fishing. After-Party guests get to know and talk shop with industry insiders and representatives from organizations as diverse as TakeMeFishing.org, Temple Fork Outfitters, Green Top, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Harman’s North Fork Cabins, Virginia Sportsman, and Steam Bell Beer Works.

This year’s Festival After-Party will be held on the festival grounds immediately following the close of the Saturday show.

Afraid you might feel out of place? You won’t: the After-Party is great fun and open to the public. This signature event is casual; in fact, many of our dinner guests will come straight from the festival. In other words, you’ll fit right in with the rest of us!

The 2018 Festival After-Party will feature the debut of “Back Bay,” a short film from Flymen Fishing Company that recounts the loss of this great Virginia fishery and its stunning comeback. The film includes special interviews with Lefty Kreh, Walt Cary, and more. Captain Cory Routh of Ruthless Outdoor Adventures narrates much of this compelling story. The fishing action is pretty good, too!

Advance tickets to the Festival After-Party are available for $25 apiece ($35 at the door, if available) but are expected to sell out well in advance of the festival. The Virginia Fly Angler of the Year will also be awarded before the end of the evening.
